  1. Fraud Prevention

Requesting credit means sharing sensitive details. This page explains the safeguards elasticlendingloan.com uses to protect information submitted through our site and the steps you can take to protect yourself when researching Elastic lending loans or any credit product.

How we protect your information

Secure formsRequest forms are delivered by a secure form provider, with bot detection and validation to prevent automated abuse
Vendor oversightService providers and lending partners must maintain safeguards consistent with applicable law, including the FTC Safeguards Rule where it applies
MonitoringWe monitor for suspicious activity and review security settings when we change site features

What we will never ask you for

  • Your online banking username or password
  • One-time passcodes sent to your phone or email
  • Upfront fees paid by gift card, wire transfer, cryptocurrency or payment app

If anyone claiming to represent us asks for these, stop and read our Fraud Prevention page.

Tips to protect yourself

  1. Check that the address bar shows https:// and the correct domain before entering information.
  2. Use a private, trusted device and network — avoid public Wi-Fi for financial forms.
  3. Use unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication on your email and bank accounts.
  4. Review your bank statements and free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com regularly.
  5. Consider a credit freeze when you are not applying for credit.

Responsible disclosure

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability on elasticlendingloan.com, please report it through our contact page (choose "Report an error") with enough detail for us to reproduce it. Please do not access or modify other users' data, disrupt the service or publicly disclose the issue before we have had a reasonable opportunity to fix it. We appreciate good-faith research.

If an incident occurs

If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will investigate promptly and notify affected individuals and regulators as required by applicable state and federal law.

Fraud Prevention

How to recognize loan scams and impersonation — and what to do if you're targeted.

Scammers target people who need money quickly, sometimes by pretending to be well-known lenders or websites. Whether you are researching Elastic lending loans or any credit, this page shows how to recognize fraud and what to do if you are targeted.

What we will never do

We will never…Why it matters
Ask for an upfront fee to "release," "insure" or "guarantee" creditAdvance-fee schemes are a leading form of loan fraud
Ask for payment by gift card, wire, cryptocurrency or payment appThese methods are hard to trace or reverse
Ask for your online banking passwordLegitimate services never need it
Ask for one-time passcodes sent to your phone or emailCodes let criminals take over accounts
Promise guaranteed approvalEvery lender makes its own decision
Ask you to deposit a check and send money backThis is a fake-check scam

How to verify you are dealing with a legitimate company

  1. Type the website address directly into your browser rather than clicking a link in a text or email.
  2. For an existing account, use contact details from your agreement or statement — not from an unexpected message.
  3. Check that any lender is licensed where required by searching your state regulator's website.
  4. Be suspicious of pressure, urgency and requests for secrecy.

If you think you've been targeted

  • Stop communicating and do not send money.
  • Contact your bank immediately if you shared account information or sent a payment.
  • Report fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
  • Identity theft: get a personalized recovery plan at IdentityTheft.gov.
  • Freeze your credit with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion — it's free.
  • Tell us through our contact page if someone used our name.
