Editorial Policy

How our experts write, fact-check and update every page.

Financial content affects real decisions, so we hold ours to a high standard. This policy explains how Elastic Lending Loans content is created, reviewed and kept current.

1. Written by specialists

Every guide is written by a team member with relevant credentials — a CFP® professional, a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager or an Accredited Financial Counselor® — and draws on first-hand experience in lending, compliance or counseling.

2. Fact-checked against primary sources

Fees, limits, eligibility rules and legal references are verified against the lender's published terms, official agency guidance (CFPB, FTC, federal statutes) and other primary sources. A second credentialed reviewer signs off before publication.

3. Dated and reviewed regularly

Each page shows its last-reviewed date. Core pages are reviewed at least quarterly and immediately when terms change.

4. Balanced and honest

We describe both the benefits and the costs of Elastic lending loans, and we tell readers when a lower-cost alternative may be a better fit.

5. Corrections

Report errors through our contact page. Material corrections are made promptly and noted at the bottom of the affected page.

6. Independence

Editorial content is not written or approved by any lender. Business relationships never change the facts we publish. See our disclosures.

7. AI and tools

We may use software tools for research and drafting, but every published page is reviewed, edited and approved by a named human expert.
