Estimate only. Uses published minimum-payment rules ($50 or 5% of balance for bi-weekly/semi-monthly; $100 or 10% for monthly). The carried-balance fee is a flat amount from a tiered table in your Line of Credit Agreement ($5–$350 per cycle) and typically falls as your balance falls; for simplicity this tool applies the fee you enter to every cycle with a balance above $10, so results are a conservative (higher) estimate.
How the calculator works
- Cash advance fee: your amount × 5% or 10%, deducted up front.
- Minimum payment: the greater of $50 or 5% of the balance (bi-weekly/semi-monthly) or $100 or 10% (monthly), plus any extra principal you add.
- Carried-balance fee: the per-cycle fee you enter, applied to every payment date with a balance above $10.
Reading your results
"Payments to $0" is the number that drives cost. Each payment you make while carrying a balance adds another carried-balance fee. To lower it, borrow less, add extra principal or make a lump-sum payment from a tax refund or extra paycheck. Learn more in Elastic carried-balance fee explained and 7 ways to pay off Elastic faster.
Calculator FAQ
How accurate is this Elastic lending loans calculator?
It applies published minimum-payment rules and the fee amounts you enter. Your actual carried-balance fee depends on the tier table in your Line of Credit Agreement, so treat results as an estimate.
Why does adding extra principal lower total fees so much?
Each payment date with a balance above $10 triggers a carried-balance fee. Extra principal cuts the number of payment dates you carry a balance through.
Does the calculator include interest?
No, because Elastic does not charge interest. Costs come from the cash advance fee and carried-balance fees.
